WORCESTER - A former supervisor at Worcester's main post office on East Central Street, who pleaded guilty to stealing packages that contained drugs, has been scheduled for Feb. 2.

Kevin Dombroski, 43, of Worcester, pleaded guilty to eight charges of mail theft Aug. 30, according to the office of U.S. Attorney Rachael S. Rollins. He was initially scheduled to face sentencing in Worcester on Jan. 19.

In a separate case, a sentencing date for a former U.S. Postal Service employee in Gardner who pleaded guilty to stealing packages that contained over $90,000 in cash is scheduled for March 8.

Roberta Feliz, 33, of Fitchburg, pleaded guilty to one count of theft of mail by an employee of the U.S. Postal Service in April.

According to the prosecutor's office, Dombroski stole packages that he believed contained cocaine, something he determined by looking at the intended receiving address.

Dombroski specifically removed the packages from the main processing area of the post office and took them into a private office where he would open the parcel and remove the narcotics before returning the package back to the floor for delivery, the U.S. attorney's office said in a news release.

Dombroski is alleged to have sold the narcotics to an acquaintance, who paid him $7,500 for each package.

He was initially charged in February.

Feliz was employed as lead sales and services associate with the Gardner Post Office. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, she stole more than $90,000 in cash deposits that were mailed from a tractor supply company to its bank.

The thefts are alleged to have taken place between February and July 2020
