The Lafayette Police Department is searching for suspects in two separate non-fatal shootings that happened about two hours apart.
Police were called at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 100 block of Martin Street, which is near North Pierce Street, and found a man who had been shot multiple times, department spokesperson Sgt. Robin Green said in a release. The man was taken to a local hospital.
Investigators think the victim had just arrived at home and was trying to get inside when a man approached the victim while holding a gun and demanded money, Green said.

Police were later called at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 800 block of Martin Luther King Drive where they found a man who had been shot once.
The victim and a relative were inside a car when a man opened the door and demanded money at gunpoint, investigators think. The man shot the victim once and ran from the area, Green said.
