Lubbock police are investigating a deadly shooting Sunday morning in East Lubbock that left a 22-year-old man dead.
Lubbock police responding to a shots fired call near the intersection of East 42nd Street and Avenue A found Brandon Lloyd suffering a gunshot wound in the 100 block of East 42nd Street, according to a police news release.
Lloyd was taken by ambulance to University Medical Center where he died.
An initial investigation indicates Lloyd and another person were fired at in the area. Investigators are working to identify the shooter, according to the release.
