Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas, the guy who doesn't smile because nothing is funny, has been one of the guys on the team whose minutes are not guaranteed every night. There are some games where Thomas will play a good amount of time and there are some games where he is an afterthought.
In Monday's 121-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Thomas had one of those games that made fans wonder why he doesn't have a more consistent role in the rotation. Thomas had 21 points and four rebounds in 23 minutes despite not knowing that his number was going to be called in this game.
Thomas was unstoppable from the moment that he entered the game and he was a key reason that Brooklyn was able to close out this game with a win. Thomas shot 8-of-13 from the field and 4-of-6 from behind the three-point line. He spoke postgame about what led to the win over the Lakers:
