Man injured in shooting near Seattle's Pioneer Square Station

Police are investigating after a 27-year-old man was shot and injured Tuesday afternoon near Pioneer Square Station in Seattle.

Officers were called at 3:20 p.m. to Third Avenue and Yesler Way for a report of a shooting.

When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound and started first aid.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition, Seattle fire medics said.

Witnesses told police that the suspect fled in a car.

It is not known what led to the shooting.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000.
