A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting Friday.

At 6:06 p.m., Corpus Christi police officers were dispatched to an apartment complex at the 3000 block of Antelope for a domestic disturbance.

In a YouTube video, Corpus Christi Police Chief Mike Markle said a woman called the police explaining her boyfriend had hurt himself, injured her, had weapons and threatened to use those weapons at officers if they arrived on scene.

"It seemed liked a potential violent encounter," Markle said in the video.

Markle added in the video, shortly after officers arrived, they made contact with the suspect who brandished a long-arm weapon, forcing one officer to discharge his city issued weapon.
