A woman looking to sell her pricey baubles at an arranged meeting with a stranger was ambushed instead during a Queens robbery, police said Wednesday.
The 51-year-old woman agreed to meet the potential buyer of $5,000 worth of her jewelry on Pople Ave. near College Point Blvd. in Flushing about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Instead, she was met by a man and woman who snatched the stash and took off on foot, cops said. The woman was not injured in the robbery. Police are still looking for the thieves.
They ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
