It was a not-so-great week for the LSU men's basketball team with matchups against the Florida Gators and Arkansas Razorbacks. The team did what they had to against the Gators as they earned the 64-58 victory. On Saturday it was rough sledding against the Razorbacks.
Will Wade's team had a late lead against Arkansas but it all fell apart late with poor shooting and turnovers. If we have learned one thing about the Tigers team is that they play great defense but shooting has been somewhat of a concern. Their offensive rating is 103.7, which puts them 159th out of 358. Their defensive rating of 78.7 is the best in the country.
In the top 25 update this week, the Tigers slid down the poll once again. We have a new No. 1 team as the Baylor Bears fell in back-to-back games and the Auburn Tigers continue to surge. The Kentucky Wildcats continue to climb back up after blasting the Tennessee Volunteers this past week as well.
