USC target Duce Robinson, nation's No. 1 tight end prospect, delays commitment

USC Trojans target Duce Robinson announced Wednesday that he would delay his commitment decision one more window in order to further evaluate his options.

Throughout his recruitment, Robinson has accumulated over 30 offers, but USC, Georgia, Texas, and Alabama have separated themselves from the rest of the pack.

Robinson, a product of Phoenix Pinnacle High School (Arizona), ranks as the No. 19 prospect nationally and No. 1 tight end in the 2023 Top247. He could have the highest upside in the entire class.

According to some baseball industry insiders, Robinson is a top-200 prospect for the upcoming MLB draft. The 6-6 athlete has drawn some comparisons to New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge. Robinson, who plays first base and designated hitter, is following in the footsteps of his father, a dual-sport athlete who was drafted by the Minnesota Twins.

Robinson had previously been a four-star prospect, but several days ago, he was elevated to a five-star prospect, a sign of how his value on the recruiting trail is increasing.
