United Way of Greater Dayton Area president, CEO to retire this summer

The United Way of Greater Dayton Area announced today that its president and CEO will retire this summer.

J. Thomas (Tom) Maultsby, Jr. will retire from his position July 31, 2022. It's one he's held since Sept. 11, 2012.

The UWGDA said in a release that Maultsby has "built a phenomenally talented staff team who have elevated United Way to a technically competent, efficient, cost effective and high impact organization."

Maultsby has served on a host of boards and committees in his time with United Way, currently including the Dayton Development Coalition, CareSource Foundation and Family and Children's First Council.

"We are truly grateful to Tom for his leadership through some really difficult years for our community," Rafi Rodriguez, United Way Board Chair, said.

The job announcement will be posted publicly on United Way's website with details on how candidates may apply.
