Brooklyn Nets wing TJ Warren played his first NBA game in 703 days in the Brooklyn Nets 114-105 win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday. He had 10 points and four rebounds in 17 minutes.
The last time that Warren played in an NBA game was Dec. 29, 2020 when he was still with the Indiana Pacers. He has missed the past two years dues to multiple stress fractures in his left foot that required two surgeries.
Warren was the leading scorer on that Pacers team in the 2019-2020 season as he averaged 19.8 points per game. He made quite the name for himself in the NBA bubble when he averaged 31 points per game and that average included a 53-point game that he had against the Philadelphia 76ers on Aug.1, 2020.
Warren spoke about his return and what he endured to make it back for this game:
In what was obviously an emotional night for Warren, he took to Twitter to sum up his night.
