Starbucks may have the Pumpkin Spice Latte, but Tim Hortons is making a pretty good case for its coffee-by putting Shawn Mendes on the cups. The PSL is great and all, but have you seen his face? Heard his VOICE?
The chain's Home is Where the Heart is campaign launched last week in honor of Mendes' sold out stadium show on September 6. "I'm excited to launch this incredible campaign with Tim Hortons in celebration of my homecoming Toronto show," the Canadian-born crooner said in a press release. "Tims has been part of my life since before I can remember, and I'm so proud to share my love for this Canadian tradition."
Tim Hortons announced the news with the ~sweetest~ montage of Mendes' most memorable career moments. The one-minute clip, which was directed by Jason Koenig, brings things full circle with Mendes grabbing a familiar coffee from his fav childhood chain.
"Shawn Mendes is a great and modern representation of our values, generosity and kindness," global creative head Paloma Azulay said in the statement. "He has had such a deep personal relationship with Tim Hortons since his childhood, and now we are proud to share his Canadian origins with the world."
On August 30, Tims debuted its limited-edition Shawn Mendes cups, and they're *almost* as presh as the "Señorita" singer himself. Just take a look:
The cups include Mendes (shredding on the guitar, of course) with a rose illustration reminiscent of his most recent album art and classic Canadian maple leaves. The Tim Hortons x Shawn Mendes cups are available for small, medium, or large hot beverages through September 6, aka the day of his big homecoming show. But you can also get your hands on a reusable ceramic version, too. They'll be sold at participating Tim Hortons in the Greater Toronto Area.
