Texas teen arrested for spitting in tea bottle and putting it back, police say

EL PASO, Texas - Police arrested a 15-year-old boy for spitting in an Arizona Tea bottle and putting it back on the shelf, according to CB7.

The local news outlet reported it happened at an Albertsons grocery store in Odessa, Texas.

According to the affidavit, the teenager was seen on security footage picking up an Arizona Iced Tea, putting his mouth on it, then putting it back.

The police officer said the teen repeatedly told him that he took a drink of the tea, then put it back, because it was "gross."

2019 has seen a number of Texans gain viral fame for doing weird and often disturbing things with food and drinks, including licking ice cream and drinking wine from a Pringles can.

A video posted in June of a woman appearing to lick a tub of Blue Bell ice cream before putting it back in a grocery store freezer attracted the attention of millions, including Blue Bell Creameries.

Wichita Falls Police Department spokesman Officer Jeff Hughes stated officers responded to a theft call June 25 shortly after 8 p.m. at the Walmart located on Greenbriar Road where they received a report of a woman who had entered the store, ate half of a cake and refused to pay for the other half.

Woman riding cart, drinking wine from Pringles can barred from Walmart

In January, Wichita Falls police received a rather unique call involving a woman drinking wine in a Walmart parking lot.

Employees requested officers to ban a woman from the local Walmart store after she reportedly had been drinking wine from a Pringles can for several hours.

Officer Jeff Hughes, a WFPD spokesperson, said police were told by dispatchers that they were looking for a woman wearing a blue jacket and black pants.

The woman was reportedly riding on an electric shopping cart more commonly used for people with physical limitations.

When officers arrived, they found the woman in a nearby restaurant, at which point she was notified that she had been barred from the Walmart location.
