A 46-year-old man was found dead Thursday night in an Eastside Tacoma home after a 911 caller reported that a person had been shot. Police are investigating the death as a homicide.
Tacoma Police Department officers were dispatched about 10:13 p.m. after dispatchers received the 911 call from a residence in the 1300 block of East Fairbanks Street, according to a news release issued early Friday morning. Responding officers found an unresponsive man inside the home.
Personnel with Tacoma Fire Department pronounced the man dead on the scene, according to the release. Detectives and crime scene technicians also went to the residence.
Police have released few details about the killing. It's unclear what led up to it.
