The Philadelphia 76ers have been looking to get healthier, but they have recently had one of their important pieces suffer some right shoulder soreness that will keep him out for a period of time.
Matisse Thybulle, one of the team's elite defenders out on the perimeter, suffered the injury in their Jan. 14 win over the Boston Celtics when he took a hard fall off a steal and a dunk. He was pushed in the back by Celtics guard Dennis Schroder who was called for a flagrant-1 foul.
Thybulle then missed Saturday's win over the Miami Heat on the road and he underwent an MRI. It revealed that he has a right shoulder sprain and he will be re-evaluated in a week.
The Sixers were able to play some solid defense without Thybulle on Saturday and will have to continue to do so. They will take on a tough Washington Wizards team on Monday to complete their two-game road trip.
