The NBA trade deadline is on Thursday at 3 p.m. EST and now is the time when teams will have to decide which direction they want to go in order to improve their chances.
The Philadelphia 76ers are a team that has championship aspirations as they continue with their 2022-23 season so one would assume that they would be buyers at the deadline in order to upgrade their roster.
However, they also have to shed some salary and one name that continues to pop up in trade talks is Matisse Thybulle. Along with the Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors, there is now another team in pursuit of Thybulle.
Per Marc Stein via his substack, the Atlanta Hawks have now joined in on the pursuit:
The Sixers should think hard before trading Thybulle. Sure, the offensive production has been up and down, but he makes a big impact while out on the floor. He makes big plays on defense and. He provides a lot of energy and great defensive play. If he stays past the deadline, he should be a part of their rotation going forward.
