One of the happiest moments of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's lives is just a few days away, but that hasn't prevented the royal couple from becoming embroiled in drama in the weeks leading up to the royal wedding. But apparently, Harry has stepped up to support his bride in the wake of controversy.
"Harry is super protective over Meghan and isn't happy unless she is happy," a source told Us Weekly. "Any time there is or has been negative press about Meghan, he always blows it off and acts as though it's them two against the world."
The source continued that Prince Harry's protective nature stems from Princess Diana's death and how the paparazzi treated her. "[Harry] just wants to protect [Markle] and has been this way [since] everything that happened with his mom and how the media treated her," the source said.
On Thursday morning, Markle issued a statement confirming that, after much speculation, her father, Thomas Markle, will not attend her May 19 nuptials. It's clearly a distressing time for the bride-to-be-her half-sister, Samantha Markle, is also currently in the hospital after a run-in with the paparazzi.

But apparently, Harry has been reaching out to his future father-in-law, in spite of his absence from the wedding. "[They] have both been reaching out to Thomas," the source continued. "[Harry] wants to make things better for her since she is so beside herself."
Let's hope that both bride and groom can find some peace before the big day on Saturday.
