PEORIA - A Creve Coeur man has been arrested in connection with multiple bomb threats at a downtown hotel, Peoria police said.

Val C. Burks, 30, was booked into the Peoria County Jail on Wednesday on three counts of making a terrorist or false threat.

Authorities have said the hotel's front desk has received three threats, forcing the building's evacuation over the past few months with the latest coming on Jan. 19 and Jan. 28. In each case, no one was injured and people were able to return to their rooms. A motive for the threats has not been revealed.

Burks was arrested on Wednesday after detectives identified him as a suspect, Peoria police said in a news release.
