Mets' front office gives vote of confidence to Mickey Callaway

Mets manager Mickey Callaway's job was believed to be on the line during this past weekend's three-game series against the Marlins. The now 20-25 Mets were swept by the now 13-31 Marlins.

The Mets' front office, including GM Brodie Van Wagenen, called a meeting today to inform his players and coaches that he still supports Callaway as manager, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports. According to Thosar, Callaway has the Mets' support for "the time being and for many weeks to come."

That wasn't the only news revealed at the press conference. We'll have a post on that coming up shortly.
