'Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers' debuts today

The HBO series "Winning Time" may have been a hit in terms of ratings, but it has been a polarizing series.

Many, in particular members of those Los Angeles Lakers of the 1980s, have criticized the series for being inaccurate and hugely dramatized.

But for those who value facts over entertainment, there is another forthcoming series that is focused on the rich history of the franchise.

On Aug. 15, the streaming platform Disney+ will release "Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers," a 10-part series that will document the history of the Lakers throughout their path towards becoming the gold standard of basketball.

Via Marca:

This series will include interviews from such Laker stalwarts as Jeanie Buss, the late Dr. Jerry Buss, Shaquille O'Neal, Jerry West, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, LeBron James and former coach Pat Riley.
