4. (SOUNDBITE) (Croatian) GORAN IVANISEVIC, DJOKOVIC'S COACH, SAYING:

"The problem is - if it comes to that (a tennis player getting infected with the coronavirus) - if a single player gets infected, it has nothing to do with ATP or with ITF anymore. Then the American government takes over. And then Trump may say, 'aha, all two-hundred and something players have to go into quarantine'. It means there will be no tennis until who knows when. It is a bit too risky. In my opinion - if it should get going - (then it should) start with Madrid, Rome, or Roland-Garros in September. That is somewhat more likely than the U.S. Open."

STORY: Former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic is the latest to announce he has tested positive for COVID-19 following the ill-fated Adria Tour organised by Novak Djokovic.

Ivanisevic, who is part of Djokovic's coaching set-up, said on Instagram on Friday (June 26) that after two negative tests he had now tested positive.

"I feel good and don't have any symptoms," Croatian Ivanisevic, who won Wimbledon as a wildcard in 2001 when he beat Pat Rafter, said.

"I would like to inform everyone who has been in contact with me that I tested positive and ask them to take extra good care of themselves and their loved ones.

"I will continue to self-isolate as I have been doing."

World number one Djokovic has been criticised after he, Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria, Croatia's Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki of Serbia tested positive after playing in the exhibition tournament in the Balkan region.

Djokovic's wife Jelena also tested positive, as did his fitness coach Marco Panichi and Dimitrov's coach Christian Groh.

The tournament witnessed packed stands during the opening leg in Belgrade, players hugging at the net, playing basketball, posing for pictures and attending news conferences together.

Serbia's new parliament convened Monday amid protests by the some opposition parties and far-right groups claiming that the parliamentary election, overwhelmingly won by the ruling populists, was rigged. Dozens of protesters booed and jeered at the lawmakers arriving to the inaugural parliament session in the domed downtown parliament building. Police sealed off much of the area in front of the assembly to prevent the repeat of violent protests last month at the same location against the increasingly autocratic rule of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
