Harvick clinches 'regular season' Championship

All three NASCAR top-level series were active at the Dover Int'l Speedway this past weekend competing in five races on Delaware's 1-mile concrete oval. The Gander Truck series drivers were up first on Friday night at the Monster Mile. The XFINITY and Cup series each featured a Saturday/Sunday double-header for the remaining four events.

NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) - Race 1

Race 1: Sat, Aug 22, Drydene 311
- The starting lineup for Race 1 put Chase Elliott (#9 Chevrolet Camaro) on the pole with #11 Denny Hamlin sharing the front row in the P2 spot. #19 Martin Truex Jr., #14 Clint Bowyer, #22 Joey Logano, #48 Jimmie Johnson, #2 Brad Keselowski, #24 William Byron, #1 Kurt Busch and #4 Kevin Harvick, respectively formed the rest of the top-10 in the lineup.

- Denny Hamlin (#11 Toyota Camry) scored his 43rd victory in 531 NCS races. This is his 6th victory and 16th top-10 finish in 2020. It is his 1st victory and 13th top-10 finish in 30 races at Dover. Martin Truex Jr. (2nd) posted his 17th top-10 finish in 30 Dover races and his 15th top-10 finish in 2020. Kyle Busch (3rd) earned his 20th top-10 finish in 32 races at Dover. Pole-sitter Chase Elliott led 27 laps and finished 5th. Cole Custer (11th) was the highest finishing Sunoco Rookie of the Year (ROTY) contender.
