Carbo Ceramics (CRR) Reports Q3 Loss, Misses Revenue Estimates

Carbo Ceramics (CRR) came out with a quarterly loss of $0.58 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $0.50. This compares to loss of $0.62 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -16%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this maker of material used to boost the output of oil and natural gas wells would post a loss of $0.52 per share when it actually produced a loss of $0.57, delivering a surprise of -9.62%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has not been able to surpass consensus EPS estimates.

Carbo Ceramics, which belongs to the Zacks Oil and Gas - Field Services industry, posted revenues of $43.51 million for the quarter ended September 2019, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 6.96%.
