Bornkamp named to MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List

Via Clemson Athletic Communications:

Junior defender Megan Bornkamp was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List on Thursday by United Soccer Coaches. In addition, Bornkamp was tabbed as a 2022 Preseason All-ACC Team and United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch List member last week.

The defender led the Tigers in goals (10) and points (30) last season, capitalizing on many set piece opportunities.

Her performance throughout the season earned many recognitions. The two-time All American was named First-Team All-ACC along with United Soccer Coaches First-Team All-Atlantic Region, ACC All-Tournament team, preseason All-ACC, All-ACC Academic Team and CoSIDA Academic All-District in 2021. Bornkamp will lead the Tigers' backline and will look to have another impressive season in the 2022 campaign.

Bornkamp and the No. 25 Tigers open their season tonight, Aug. 18 at Historic Riggs Field against Texas A&M. Kickoff for that match is slated for 7 p.m. and will stream on ACCNX.
