Ariana Grande Pulled Off Green Lipstick and Eyeshadow for the "Wicked" Concert Taping

It's official: Ariana Grande is in full Elphaba mode.

One day after sharing a sneak peek at her lyrics for the upcoming NBC concert production of the Broadway musical, Wicked, Ariana took to Instagram with a series of selfies from the show's taping on Tuesday, October 16.

While in the actual Broadway production, Elphaba has head-to-toe green skin, Ariana (who, per her Instagram, will be singing at least one of the character's songs) went with a slightly less different - but no less incredible - interpretation. In photos she shared on her Instagram page and stories, Ariana donned a bold, glimmering emerald lipstick and glitter eyeshadow in the same shade. The pops of green were accented by dramatic winged black eyeliner and the singer's signature ponytail.

And her makeup wasn't the only thing that sparkled: Ariana increased the drama with a statement choker featuring eye-popping green gems, and a pair of massive gemstone studs. The green continued with her clothes, too: A fan video shared on Twitter shows Ariana singing (nay, slaying) a portion of "The Wizard and I" while dressed in a bright green peplum top.

The Wicked taping occurred in the days following Ariana's breakup with Pete Davidson and after the singer canceled recent events to take time for herself. But in her Instagram stories, Ariana shared her excitement for the Wicked opportunity in the midst of a difficult time. "can't believe I almost let my anxiety ruin this for me today!!!" she wrote alongside a selfie from the taping, later continuing, "finna sing my heart out and be a big walking vessel of love bye."
